I loved music and the piano from a very young age. My grandmother, who at one time played the piano or silent movie houses, had a small spinet that I looked forward to playing each time I visited. I learned to play by ear and eventually started taking formal lessons and continued studying through college.
After many years of teaching the piano and playing at parties and functions I decided to take my interest in the piano a step further and attended the North Bennet Street School full time to become a piano technician. Since that time, my focus has been on the tuning, repair and maintenance of pianos. It has turned out to be a very rewarding career.
Career highlights include:
| • | Graduated from The University of Massachusetts in 1988 with a degree in Music |
| • | Earned a journeyman certificate in Piano Technology from the prestigious North Bennet Street School in Boston’s North End |
| • | Associate Member of the Piano Technician’s Guild – Boston Chapter |
| • | Worked as a sales associate and technician with a local piano retailer for many years, gaining extensive knowledge about piano brands and pricing. |
